Here's a place to pursue topics in more depth than can be done in the classroom.

This is a page where I can broaden the context of a discussion and offer motivated students advanced material.

I'm teaching English this term and my students are curious about Shakespeare's life or Elizabethan England. I will use this page to give students what they're looking for by going into depth about my subject.

Here's an example of the type of material I could include:

Elizabethan England in Shakespeare's Time

During the Elizabethan time period in England.  Both men and women wore clothing that had lace on the cuffs and collars.  The lace was designed in such a manner that it would trap bugs and insects that would attempt to crawl inside the clothing of the wearer.  If was believed that frequent washing of the body removed the "good humors" or healthy coatings that the body need to withstand infections.  The lace therefore, would help to keep biting creatures way from the person.  However, it did nothing to help the smell.
